When we were doing the slap we had to practice on how we should do the stages slowly so we wouldn't harm anyone. In stage combat we have to make sure that are three rules to follow to make sure that our stage combat goes successfully, Safety first, Safety last and Safety always. With these rules applied in stage combat, it will be easy to practice and perform stage combat. When I was learning the stage slap I found out that you need to do a few things to make it look successful,
- Make sure that the person who slaps the other person needs to look at the same direction of the audience
- The person's body needs be at least a meter away from the other person so it doesn't touch that person
- When making a knap, the person who makes it needs to cover it up on the other person's body so the audience wont be able to see it
- If a person was to stage slap someone, they should create tension in their arms and move their body a bit as well
- Marking the moment is a good way to mark when an action is going to take place by a specific dialogue or movement.
